Adam Helwig

Video has always been a passion of mine, specifically video editing. For as long as I can remember I’ve always been fascinated how video combined with music or the proper sound design can draw so much emotion from the soul. The power of manipulating video and audio to create a visceral feeling in another person, whether it’s a belly laugh, tears of sorrow, tears of joy, or even an introspective reflection, that’s what drives my passion each and every day. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. I was born and raised in Hanover, Pennsylvania and received my Bachelor’s degree in Film/Video from Penn State University in 2008. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Minnesota to pursue my career and passion. Now a native of Rochester, Minnesota, I married the love of my life, Amanda in 2016, and we have two handsome, energetic boys who keep me on my toes. My family inspires me and motivates me each and every day. My dream was never to build a company, but I am so grateful that has become my reality. I initially started Almond Eye in 2013, but it really kicked off at the end of 2016 when I joined forces with Co-Owner, Bryan Lemke. Together we have become an unstoppable force, and I couldn’t have asked for a better friend and business partner to continue the upward trajectory of Almond Eye. We continue to grow our team, finding other passionate and like-minded creatives to achieve bigger and broader goals. Great things in business are never done by one person; they’re done by a team of people.When I’m able to find a little free time I love to golf, fish, or relax by some water whether it’s a beach, swimming pool or a cabin by a lake.

Bryan Lemke

Every person, every company, every moment holds a story and my passion is capturing those stories and sharing them with the world. For me, the most rewarding part of what we do is seeing that emotion in the end. It might be a smile, or a tear, or somewhere in between, but it’s those feelings, reactions, and memories created that will forever drive me to love what some people might call my “job.” I am first and foremost a proud husband and Dad of 3 boys. I love the outdoors, sports, and adventure. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, so Steelers and Badgers fan for life. If I’m not behind the lens, you can bet I’m hanging with my family, or off in the outdoors fueling my soul. I’m not exactly sure what the American Dream is, but I can tell you that I am damn blessed and am going to capture every moment that I can while I’m here!

Growing up I was influenced to lay my own path and become an entrepreneur. Going back to the early days and making your own American dream. I wanted to build and create my own power house team and to put my name on the map. I shortly realized that being an army of one, I was only making short strides in the direction I wanted to go. Teaming up with Almond Eye I was able to make bigger strides, work with a team atmosphere and get to that common goal so much quicker. I’m an extremely passionate conservationist. To be more specific, my passion lies with documenting the whitetail deer. They are so unique and different just like us. Each one with their own characteristics that sets them apart, just like you and I. When I have some free time you can find me at the archery range working on my form to ensure that perfect shot and to mentally relax. Archery is what got me into the field of occupation that I’m in. All through middle school and high school I worked at the local archery pro shop. My role at Almond Eye Productions is a Senior Video Editor and Field Producer. I can’t say what I like to do more because each skill set, has its own creativity. But I will say, being a Senior Video Editor has made me a stronger Field Producer. When the opportunity to step out of my norm and tackle new fields with different projects, I step up to the challenge to create something memorable. I truly enjoy making film like edits and content. I love what I do and I’m so blessed to be apart of a team with common goals and interests. Our names are on the map and we’re here to stay. It’s easier to work together and achieve that similar goal than to do it on your own and fight to the top.

Connor Deis

CREATIVE SPECIALIST // SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

The Dream of Filming a “hunting show” started when I was a teenager and I had a burning passion for the outdoors and filming my hunts! Growing up watching the outdoor channel every night carved a passion for filming and then I began an interest in short films and being able to tell a story behind the lens that people can connect with and have an emotional tie too. I would say my favorite thing about filming is being able to be creative and always look at a shoot in a different way than the one before. Outside of work I love being outdoors , golfing, baseball and being on the lake. I’m always on the go and can never sit still so being able to travel and see new places makes work fun , which is the most important thing! One thing that makes me, me is that I will always lighten the mood in the room and always have a joke to say or something to say about whatever situation is taking place!

Jonah Bell

Stills and motion was not my first passion right out of the gate. After high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps, and from there worked as a union carpenter. That career led me to a close friend that said “hey dude, you need a camera, you’ve got an eye” so 10 years ago I decided to pick up a camera and since then it’s changed my life and has taken me to places I’ve only ever dreamed about. It’s given me the opportunity to work with some of the most bad ass people and brands in the hunting industry and beyond. I truly love working with people who don’t take no for an answer and am eager to watch things grow from what was once nothing. Each day is a new journey full of new adventures, new people, and new experiences.

What’s up y’all my name is Jonah, I’m originally from Michigan but now call the big buck state of Iowa my home. My favorite things in the world are my beautiful fiancé, owning the title DAD, country music, and the year round pursuit of chasing white-tailed deer. Struttin’ turkeys in the spring is another dear passion of mine and I soak up as many mornings in the turkey woods as possible. If I’m not at home you’ll find me back where I grew up on the water in Michigan, or visiting remote family in East Tennessee.

I’m incredibly thankful to have planted my roots here at Almond Eye and can’t wait to see “all of the places we’ll go.”
